The gamma knife radiation therapy is one of the important means of cancer's treatment.The gamma knife treatment equipment is specialized in treating breast cancer in the first generation. The treatment range is too narrow and the utilization rate of the equipment is not high in the first generation. Therefore, it is necessary to expand the treatment range of the equipment,reduce the treatment cost and shorten the treatment period. It can not only treat the breast cancer, but also treat the head tumors in the second generation. So this paper improves the structure of the three-dimensional treatment bed.This paper first introduces the general plan of gamma knife therapy equipment and the working process of the treatment system. Then this paper introduces the gamma knife radiotherapy equipment and the structure of each part in detail. This paper makes a reasonable arrangement for the CT scanner, 3D treatment bed, gamma knife radiotherapy equipment. According to the overall arrangement, this paper puts forward the design requirement of the three dimensional treatment bed, including the moving of the three directions and the basic dimension of the bed body, making the design of the 3D treatment bed reasonable.This paper introduces the 3D treatment bed's various parts of the structure in detail.Besides, this paper makes a detailed calculation and verification for some driving part,including the calculation of the motor inertia, the calculation of the load torque, the selection and checking of the slider and guide rail, the calculation and checking of the gears.Because of the treatment bed in the overhanging state, the deformation of the treatment has a great influence to the treatment precision. So this paper makes an optimization design of the bed,s structure and analyzes every factor of influencing the bed,s stiffness, obtaining a reasonable bed structure. In addition, this paper analyses the position precision of different directions using the triangle similarity principle and checks the position precision within the requirement accuracy.
