Packaging machinery plays an important role in manufacturing industry. With the improvement of intelligence and production rate and so on, the control software of packaging machinery is more reliable and flexible. Therefore, it is a technical problem that how to develop PLC control software of high reliability in an efficient way. Based on solid material bagging system as the study object, this paper designed the PLC control software. My work is as follows:Start from the general requirements of Packaging machinery, the IEC61131-3 development environment and Packaging Machinery Language(PackML) were introduced which are currently widely used.Due to the implementation of the PackML need to establish the template program, the PackML template was built in process of modeling, simulation, testing and automatic generation of the PLC code based on MATLAB.The main function and the mechanism of the solid material bagging system were introduced, the electrical hardware was designed. And the function of the control software was analyzed from the perspective of the PackML.According to the PackML, the control software structure of solid material bagging system was designed, the Pack ML modes and states were defined. The solid material bagging system was decomposed into Unit Machine, Equipment Module and Control Module according to ISA88 physical hierarchy and the interface of each module were defined. Then each module was designed based on MATLAB.Finally, the hardware of material bagging system was set up. With Schneider Somachine as development environment, the PLC code of each module which was automatic generation was imported into Somachine, then the main program was designed. The results show that the solid material bagging system run successfully.
