With the development of the science and technology, packaging machinery plays an important role in the packaging industry and commodity circulation field, which guarantees the realization of the mechanization and automation in packaging industry. Under the guidance of modularization theory, packaging machinery in specific production line is divided and flexible modules are established by using Pro/E in this paper. In order to improve the structure performance and working efficiency, each module is simulated and optimized using co-simulation using ANSYS and Adams. For the development tendency of packaging machinery, the static and dynamic performance of the production is hoped to be understood in the design stage, then according to the requirement of performance, the structure of packaging machinery will be optimized, that avoid the process of repeated trial and test of product prototype. Based on the modularization theory and make static and dynamic design as the main research aim, the paper is seeking the best combination of structural parameters to accomplish optimization. The contents are as follows:1. The present development and existing problems of packaging machinery are analyzed and the application of the modular principle in industry is studied. With computer design and analysis simulation technology, the modular principle and design simulation technology in packaging machinery is proposed, such as the basic idea of the application and basic steps.2. Based on structure and function of packaging machinery, which is planned by the generalized modular design principle. Taking unpacking machine as an example, introduce its function decomposition and detailed division of the modules. According to the flexible module modeling principle and the feature modeling knowledge, built the 3-D unpacking machinery models using Pro/E software.3. Based on the theory of the principle of virtual prototype technology, the completed models of packaging machinery are analyzed using Adams. On the basis of above analysis, the key parameters that influence module performance were found, and then made parameterized simulation of the module to achieve the aim of optimal performance of the module. 4. Based on the theory of finite element structural parameterization, the completed models of packaging machinery are analyzed using ANSYS, including static, dynamic and simulation analysis. According to the results of analysis above then put forward some corresponding improvement plan. The plans were verified more feasibility and superiority.
