In order to improve energy efficiency, frequency control technology has been research and development. The double-fed inverter system has been widely used in fan and pump industrial applications. Brushless doubly- fed moter(BDFM) not only has the advantage of double-fed inverter system, but also eliminating the motor brushes and slip rings and it has broad application prospects in the field of high power speed regulation because low voltage control high voltage for using two sets of stator windings. Based on this, this article carried out on the brushless doubly-fed motor drive system studies.Begin with the cascade BDFM, introduces the basic structure and operation principle of BDFM, derived the motor mathematical model. Derived steady state equivalent circuit of the motor according to the mathematical model, discussed Active and Reactive power distribution relationship. This paper deduced BDFM Vector Control Strategies, and has been compared with the DFIM control strategies, meanwhile modeling and simulation for motor speed control system in Matlab/Simulink environment, verified the effectiveness of the vector control strategy.Take 450 kW motor speed control system for example, this paper introduce the details of BDFM control system hardware circuit design ideas and build a prototype. At last, conducted a series of experiments on the basis of BDFM experimental platform, including the open-loop and closed-loop speed regulation control experimental test. The results verify that the synchronous motor excitation characteristics and the active slip distribution characteristics and further verifies the feasibility and effectiveness of vector control strategy.
