Microwave radiometer as a passive receiving microwave remote sensing equipment, and its application in meteorology has been getting more and more attention, and gradually put into commercial use, which will be very important to the development of the meteorological microwave radiometer 's key technologies. People mainly use meteorological radiometer to measure the profile of atmospheric temperature and humidity, liquid water path, integrated water vapor content and the density of liquid water, etc. Then apply these data to study the meteorology, thus to improve the accuracy and effectiveness of the meteorological prediction.This paper systematically researches the microwave radiometer 's several key technologies in meteorological applications, and according to some basic and common features which a meteorological microwave radiometer should have, we design and implement the meteorological radiometer 's upper layer software, laying the foundation for the commercial use of our radiometer system. The main contents are as follows: researches the approximate calculation model of the atmospheric microwave radiation transmission; researches several radiometer calibration methods used in the present system: Liquid nitrogen absolute calibration, noise injection calibration, gain calibration and Tipping-curve calibration, then comprehensively applies four calibration methods to the system in order to improve the accuracy of the calibration; then analyses the principle of the BP neural network and linear regression retrieval algorithm and their application in our system; finally, designs and implements the upper layer software of the meteorological microwave radiometer using the C # language, the software can realize the main functions of the meteorological radiometer.
