Currently, the environment situation of public toilet has aroused many attentions from the world. The annual World Toilet Summit is held to discuss the improvement of public toilet. In domestic, Xi jingping repeatedly stressed the importatnce of public toilet construction. There will be a toilet revolution in future three years so as to improve the environment situation of public toilet. Even though there are some related researches on the public toilet, most of them focus on the sanitaion, planning and design, rarely related to the thermal environment design of toilet, which undoubtly hinders the improvement of city environment.Firstly, the paper will sum the current problem of public toilet. Through field research and questionary interview, we can know that the current thermal environment problem include poor ventilation, poor temperature and high energy consumption. Secondly, through case studies and literature review, I put forward corresponding design strategies to solve these problems. Finally, I not only explore how to apply the thermal environment design strategy into the reconstruction of Chongqing public bathroom, but also apply these strategies into the construction of Turpan toilet. Through Ecotect simulation analysis, I verify the feadiblility of these strategies. This paper aims to improve the toilet environment and reduce the energy consumption, thus realizing the sustainable development of toilet. I am really hoping this paper will provide a reference for future toilet construction. This paper will be developed in an order of queation, analysis and solution. Problem: explore the need for toilet thermal environment; Analysis: through field research, analyse the thermal environment problem of public toilet; Solution: put froward the corresponding design stratigies to solve the current problem, and verify the feasibility of these strategies.
