Research And Development Of Automatic Clamping-Fixture CAD System For Automotive Pipe Based On UG

Clamping fixture is an important production equipment for automotive pipe. With the rapid increasing automobile pipe of demand and the demand for high-quality, the conventional mode of production has been seriously restrict the development of the industry. The applications of computer technology in clamping fixture make its process design rely on scientific predictions rather than experts' experience. In order to meet the company's rapid production, reduce personnel costs and ensure product quality, automatic clamping fixture will play an important role in guiding production, but it is too difficult to get a wide range of applications. So it will be necessary to develop the specific needs of the automatic clamping fixture CAD system to improve production efficiency, ensure product quality, and enhance market competitiveness.The thesis summarizes the current situation and the trend about clamping fixture CAD on both home and abroad. The clamping fixture CAD system based on UG8.0 and to develop more perfect clamping fixture CAD system. The key techniques include the parametric design, template technology, self-recognition and assembly technology, the application of MFC and ODBC database, and application of menu and toolbar.This paper mainly completes the works: to meeting needs by automatic assembly constraint recognition, automatic planning of the spatial distribution of clamping fixture,and automatically adjust the position of the components, flexible use of space conversion matrix to realize clamping fixture automatic parametric assembly. And based on assembly,optimized the bending sequence and bending angle, interactive to avoid interference,provide some critical condition and build clamping fixture standard parts library.The system overcome the shortcomings within conventional design, improve design efficiency and reduce the reliance on experience, so it will have broad application prospects.
