With the increase of the complexity of electrical and mechanical in the mechanical and electrical products, cable wiring process become more complex and difficult. The characteristics of cable wiring in complex mechanical and electrical products is narrow wiring space, high cable intensity and moreconnector number, wiring operation difficult, so there are many problems in the engineering application whether the traditional hand-wiring or computer auxiliary wiring technology, such as wiring high cost, long cycle, error-prone, tedious operation and so on.In the support of National Defense Basic Scientific Research, considering of problem of that the shortcomings of the traditional wiring design pattern and the existing defects of computer aided wiring design software function and the degree of automation is not high, this paper studies the 3d cable related wiring technology, and develops the 3d wiring design system based on CREO. The main work is as follows:Firstly, combining with demand analysis of cable wiring design, this paper put forward the system framework of 3d wiring design system based on CREO, designed the functions structure and operation process, which provides a theoretical framework for 3d wiring design system based on CREO.Secondly, On the basis of analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of wiring design system, the 3d cable modeling and the creation of information model of cable model are created; Besides, the way of strapping cables is put forward to express cable bundle in engineering. This paper use the improved bounding box algorithm to solve the interference detection of wiring space. And a algorithm is put forward in CREO to slove the interference detection between cables, cables and structures.Thirdly, because degree of automation of routing path searching is not high, the traditional heuristic path search algorithm A * algorithm was improved, And without grid dynamic extension node strategies are put forward to improve the efficiency of the A * algorithm.Based on research results above, this paper developed prototype system of 3d wiring design based on CREO with CREO/TOOLKIT development tool, and introduced the function realizing of 3d cable wiring design prototype system.
