Rain Garden Planning And Design Based On Sponge City Analysis

With the speeding up of the urbanization,the problem of urban water resources is becoming increasingly serious.The shortage of water and the frequent occurrences of rain-based flooding have become severe challenges for the city.The rain garden,as an effective implementation in urban rainwater management system,can play an significant role in dealing with urban surface runoff distribution,collecting rainfall,purifying rainwater,helping the water to recirculate to underground and then returning to natural hydrology circulation.Taking the sponge city as the background,this paper focus on the research about rain garden,exploring its possibility in urban planning and the potential development.On the basis of the study in the domestic and foreign theoretical cases and the knowledge in sponge city,the planning and design methods of the rainwater garden have been deeply discussed.Through a certain series of planning analyses and design processes,rain garden can play its greatest effect.Through a scientific deployment,the rain gardens can form a green network in a city scale,achieving a reasonable allocation of water treatment area,so that the construction of the rain garden is neither wasted nor uncompleted.First of all,a large amount of theories and analyses related to the sponge city and the rain garden have been collated in order to get a clear understanding of the position of the rain garden in a sponge city.Therefore several questions around the current situation of rain garden development has been put forwards by the author.Secondly,according to the problems found above,the answer will be given correspondingly.The first question is about the overall construction of the rain garden.Today's rainwater garden is often designed based on a small scale in an independent locality,ignoring the coherence in an overall ecosystem.In order to solve this problem,this paper presents a planning perspective on rainwater garden in a city scale.The third question lies in the function of rain garden.It is a common problem thatsome domestic rain gardens act more like a scenery rather than a ecological mechanism.Therefore in this paper,the specific construction of rain garden like site selection,structure,soil,landform,scale and so on are detailed analysis and designed.Through the detailed design of the rain garden with afterwards maintenance,the capable of water treatment will increased to a great extent.Finally,the development trend of rain garden in the "Internet Plus” era is been throughly explored.Through the exploration of this issue,a blue print of rain garden is represented.In a word,the author tries to contribute to the development of rain garden by looks into three aspects in planning,design and time-lapse possibility.
