The emergence of the aircraft has changed the way people travel to a large extent. With the improvement of economic level, more and more passengers choose the plane as a means of transportation, and the comfort of the unique micro environment within the civil aviation cabin becomes crucial. The characteristics such as narrow cabin, high personnel density, small activity space, poor air circulation, lower air pressure are easy to cause the passenger to produce a series of uncomfortable feeling in the flight process. In order to improve the environmental comfort of the civil aviation cabin,it is needed to analyze the thermal comfort of the cabin. Most of the current study is to monitor and analyze the environmental factors in cabin, and there are few studies on the subjective questionnaires survey of passengers and crew. This paper conducted an in-depth investigation and analysis on the comfort of civil aviation cabin by using the method of field mo nitoring and questionnaire. In this paper,10 domestic flights were selected for on-site investigation, and the micro environmental factors affecting cabin comfort were monitored, including air temperature, radiation temperature, relative humidity, cabin pressure and carbon dioxide concentration.According to the different adaptability of passengers and crew to the cabin,a questionnaire survey was carried out respectively. The survey results show that the air temperature and radiation temperature in the cabin did not fluctuate significantly during the flight. The relative humidity, cabin pressure and carbon dioxide concentration decreased rapidly when the plane took off and were maintained at relatively low levels during the cruise and increased slowly when the plane landed.Among them, the relative humidity was lower than the level of human body comfort and other environmental factors met the specification limits.Through the analysis of passengers’ subjective questionnaire results,it is found that some passengers think the cabin temperature is slightly higher and the air is dry,but the passengers is quite satisfactory on the cabin temperature and humidity. In the overall evaluation of the cabin,it is found that noise is the main factor affecting the passenger comfort, followed by seat comfort, and other factors such as pressure, lighting, air velocity and so on have no significant effect on passenger comfort.Long time flight allows passengers to produce a series of uncomfortable symptoms, and the most obvious is fatigue, lethargy, dry eyes and so on.Crew members work longer hours on the plane and are more demanding on the cabin environment.Through the analysis of questionnaire,it is showed that crew members are most dissatisfied with the relative humidity among the environmental factors, followed by seat comfort. In the same cabin environment, the crew have a worse overall evaluation on the environment and a higher rate of complaints.
