Passenger aerial ropeway is a mechanical delivery equipment which transfers passenger by wire rope. Researcher studys at line calculation model and calculation program, structural analysis for equipment, and fatigue failure analysis of wire rope. This paper studys 3 aspects about passenger aerial ropeway which includes (1) seriation design ofdrive unit bracket of fixed grip system, (2) influence of initial force for passenger aerial ropeway;(3) line calculation program for mono-cable circulating ropeway.1. For seriation design, drive unit bracket is divided according hight, max tension force and max torque. The bracket is analyzed by ANSYS Workbench in order to meet the safety requirements.2. For research the influence of initial force, first, this paper talks about initial force calculation method and the influence at start or stop situation. Some examples show the feature of initial force. Then, this paper describes the two ways of using flywheel, and flywheel effect on initial force.the brake is divided and the way to adjust emergency brake is described. At last, theoretical analysis is checked by project test. This chapter describes the influence of initial force systematically.3. Line calculation is important. The engineer should choose site, fixes the hight of towers, selects the drive station and return station, calculates and fulfills the regulation. In order to makethe the input and output date clearly, this paper uses AutoCAD. VBA and Microsoft Excel to program. In this study, we characterize the drive system, inertia force and line calculation to better design aerial ropeway systems. Therefore, this study could also provides support in the future ropeway facilities and installation.
