Pitch system is the core of wind turbine, its performance determines the safe operation and power generation efficiency. However, pitch system usually works in the wheel, hundred meters above the ground, which makes the site commission difficult. It is very urgent to develop a testplatform in the lab. This paper proposes a new simulation test platform for electric pitch system, which can simulate the real working environment in the room and test the performance of the pitch system, which is significant for the test and development of wind turbine.The simulation platform of electric pitch system proposed in this paper innovatively uses the hydraulic loading system to simulate the wind load received by the blade under the actual working condition. It breaks the disadvantages of traditional motor driving platform, such as large rotational inertia, mild driving force. This paper does the design calculation and 3D CAD model building, including 4 parts:pitch drive mechanism, transmission mechanism, pitch actuator and hydraulic loading mechanism. To make sure the reliability of the test platform, this paper has finite element analysis and static strength verification on three main parts by ANS YS Workbench, the results show all parts' intensity requirements are met. This paper also builds a virtual prototype model and makes the dynamic analysis, get the mathematical model between the force output by hydraulic cylinder and the torque at the blade root. Finally, this paper designs the test scheme preliminarily and writes the control interfaces by Lab VIEW.The innovative design of the test platform in this paper provides a new means for the testing of electric pitch system. The structural design, strength checking, dynamic simulation of the virtual prototype and testing control interfaces have great guiding significance for the future development and application of the test platform.
