Ship power system is a large and complex system which is an indispensable part of the ship.The most effective way to do research and analysis to ship power system is modeling and simulating,and the accurate simulation model of ship power system can be used in design of Marine Engineering Simulator and evaluation of the design of ship power plant and validation of some new control strategies.At present,computer simulation technology has become an important means for the power sector to reduce production costs and maintain technical superiority and seek the optimal solution in real power system problem,it is also an effective way to evaluate power system facilities and shows the huge economic benefit and development prospects.Taking the main electric power system of a real ship as the research object,according to single line diagram of power system and load calculations and automatic power management function,this article create a mathematical model of the power system in all aspects,including the seven-order basic model of synchronous generator,the model of prime mover and its speed control system,the model of excitation system,the model of asynchronous motor and the model of simplified load.According to the mathematical model,using MATLAB/Simulink software and modular approach,all aspects of the simulation model were set up.Combining the design of parallel control module,the article finally set up a simulation model of dual parallel operation with load which is suit for simulation analysis,and it achieve dynamics simulation of power system.In the simulation model,the article has done some basic research work,and complete the simulation of generator starting with no load,the simulation of sudden load or unload,the simulation of dual parallel operation,the simulation of asynchronous motor switching and the simulation of two typical faults,wherein for the simulation of sudden load or unload,comparison has done between simulation results and actual ship test data,the data is very consistent and verified the applicability and validity of the model.The simulation results reflect the power line voltage and current in each part of the network and the running condition of generator sets when marine power station is in normal operation or fault operation,it can accurately reflect actual condition.According to the results of simulation analysis,the article gives optimization strategies for automatic power management system,including the management of synchronous generator starting and splitting,the management of input of heavy-duty machine and the fault treatment of generator.
