With the development of automotive engine technology and the increasing of vehicle ownership,the energy consumption and emission of automotive are paid more and more attention.Cooling system is an important part of the engine,nearly 30%of the heat from the engine cylinder combustion is taken away by the cooling system.With the increasing of engine power,it is difficult for traditional engine cooling system to meet the needs of cooling,while we are asked to take efficiency into account.Studies have shown that only under 3%-5%of the whole life of traditional cooling system,it's working under the suitable capacity.In order to solve the above problems,it is necessary to improve the cooling system.Electronic control and intelligent cooling system are the key technologies that take into account various problems and demands,and they are also the direction of future development of automotive and engine.The aim of this paper is to study the control strategy of intelligent cooling system by means of numerical simulation and experimental research.Firstly,the numerical simulation model of engine cooling system is established in GT-COOL software.The relationship between the parameters and the temperature of cooling liquid is analyzed to calculate the optimal combination speed of fan and pump.Then,based on the progress made above,I started to study the control strategy.Combining MAP and fuzzy control strategy of the electronic water pump and the electronic fan is designed,and the control strategy including the process of starting warm-up,precise control of coolant temperature and after-cooling strategy are worked out.Based on the NI CompactRIO and LabView platform,the MAP and fuzzy controllers of electronic thermostat,electronic water pump and electronic fan were designed,and the intelligent cooling system vehicle test platform was set up.Finally,the experimental research on the technology of accelerating warm-up and after-cooling strategies were carried out on the vehicle test platform.Through the comparative test,the intelligent cooling system was quantitatively analyzed in the "on-demand adjustment",the precise control of the coolant temperature,consumption and energy conservation.
