Nickel-metal hydride battery is the second generation of space battery,which is developed on the basis of fully sealed nickel cadmium battery and hydrogen fuel cell technology.Due to high specific energy,long service life,resistant to over charge and discharge,etc,it is the favour of people.Nickel-metal hydride batteries generate hydrogen in the process of charging.Its working pressure can be between 0 ~ 6.0 MPa,so it belongs to high pressure equipment,and pressure monitoring of it is particularly important.The characteristic of Nickel-metal hydride battery determines that the battery capacity and the internal pressure can form linear relationship.The battery internal pressure signal can be used to control charging battery.First of all,on the basis of analysis of pressure sensor measuring principle,this paper designed the pressure sensor,and manufactured the pressure sensor module for measuring the internal pressure of nickel-metal hydride battery.Then,this paper designed the signal amplifying circuit,which is used to enlarge the signal.Finally,this paper combined the sensor with the signal amplification circuit,tested and verified the formed pressure measurement system.According to the design of the pressure measurement system,this paper got a lot of effective conclusions.This paper tested the pressure measurement system,and verified the accuracy and stability of the system.During the process of the tests,according to the system input and output data,this paper calculated the correspondence relation between the battery pressure and the system output voltage signal,and the correspondence relation between the battery capacity and the internal pressure.Based on the corresponding relationship of pressure measurement system,this paper can use the output voltage of the pressure measurement system to estimate the battery capacity and the internal pressure,and use the estimation value to control the battery capacity and the internal pressure.This paper implemented the target that monitoring and controlling the high pressure nickel-metal hydride batteries in the process of actual use.
