During the gun firing process,a complicated muzzle flow field will be formed after the high-pressure and high-temperature propellant gas exits the muzzle.A series of harmful phenomena occur throughout development of the muzzle flow,such as muzzle blast and flash,airflow to the projectile interference.It has been presented to calculate pre projectile gas and muzzle flow field,taking the 480mm large-diameter?high-mass Davis gun as an example.A 2-D axisymmetic muzzle flow field model was established based on the finite volume method,used standard k-? turbulence model and combined with structured dynamic grid based on layering method.Participated in the related ultra large-caliber Davis gun firing test.The main contents of this paper includes as follows:1.Comleted the relevant ultra large-caliber Davis gun firing test,finished and analysised the experimental data.2.According to the ultra large caliber gun firing,the mathematical model was established to calculate the interior ballistic process.The interior ballistic lumped parameter model was solved using 4th order Runge-Kutta scheme in the numerical simulation.The change laws of projectile movement and the chamber pressure were analyzed.3.Coupled with interior ballistics process,the model was established to simulate muzzle flow field.The two models are coupled by the resistance of pressure in front of projectile.The research of numerical calcution,including establishing the control equation,selecting the turbulence model,dividing the grid and etc.To calculate the two-dimensional muzzle flow field using Fluent software.4.It contains the numerical simulation of muzzle flow field in ultra large caliber gun.Perturbation of the projectile velocity in the after effect period is calculated under different conditions;Initial flow field of ultra large caliber gun impacts on the different conditions.
