Although,the pull and drift is not an issue will cause the car stall,but there are many safety risk if you drive a car in a long term with this issue.Therefore,the pull and drift test is an important item of the vehicle dynamic test,all the car manufacture companies will perform and verify it during development phase.When vehicle have been driven on a flat road with the steering wheel center position,if the vehicle will go to left or right,that means the vehicle is under the condition called 'Pull and Drift'.Pull and drift is a kind of road test,there are many factors will affect the test result,such as Tire pressures are unbalanced?Different tire surface and wearing condition?Rough road surface?Wind speed?Personal reason of test driver.To avoid modern pull and drift testing apparatus' limitations,it is needed to be able to make tests reflecting to true conditions of a vehicle driving off-track,and so research on pull and drift test is truly necessary.This paper,through the in-depth survey of some vehicle factories' pull and drift testing apparatus according to a DMAIC's 6-sigma approach.Using MSA(Measurement System Analysis)analysis methods,it was revealed during the objective surveying process that current testing apparatus cannot accurately reflect the true conditions of off-tracking vehicles.We use cause-and-effect matrices,and other quality measurement tools to find to most erroneous aspects of these facilities.We also use fishbone diagrams and flow charts methods to improve on those erroneous aspects.Regarding the improved pull and drift test process,we use MSA analysis once more to obtain satisfying results in accordance to demands,proving to efficacy of said improvement.The factory's new testing engineering standards are now being implemented around the world and are part of the personnel's training.This kind of improvement not only reduces costs associated with returned,non-functional products in need of repairing and testing,but it also reduces the amount of risk the customer is exposed to,thus guaranteeing a higher respectability and competitiveness for the company.This paper describes how new grounds were broken using a 6-sigma approach,making every step of the process more accurate and scientific,and how using MSA analysis methods to survey,improve and test said process allows the collection of a more accurate set of data.MSA is thus not only an effective approach for improvement and testing in theory,it also makes possible the actual improvement of the accuracy of car factories' pull and drift test facilities,to the satisfaction of the customer.
