China's water conservancy projects have a very important impact on the national economy and politics and people's lives,however,there are many areas in our country in the earthquake zone,once the project crash will bring disastrous consequences,so it is imperative to ensure that the use of hydraulic buildings in the earthquake is safe. Aiming at this problem,this paper do the finite element seismic analysis of the gravity dam with the Longtan dam project, and provides relevant reference information for the future research on the seismic performance of the gravity dam.In this paper,the finite element analysis software ANSYS was used to establish the model of the gravity dam in the empty reservoir, the dead water level and the checking flood level of the three working conditions, and the fluid-solid coupling effect of water-dam is taken into account,and make seismic response analysis of gravity dam. Through the analysis of the relevant data and cloud map, get the weak parts and the dam response on different water level of gravity dam under the action of the earthquake.Secondly, in order to analyze the response of gravity dam with large wind wave and earthquake at the same time,this paper analyzes the ground motion response under the checking flood level with considering the effect of wave load. At the same time, the influence of the wave force on the gravity dam is analyzed by comparing the model analysis results without considering the wave load but also on the checking flood level.In addition,as the environment of gravity dam is not the same, so that the external force is also different, the performance requirements of concrete material of dam are not the same.The greater the intensity of the earthquake at the dam site, the stronger the seismic action, the greater the hydrodynamic pressure; The wind speed in the area is different, and the waves are not the same. The main failure of the dam is in the form of tensile failure,and the tensile performance is mainly controlled by the mechanical parameters of the material.This paper uses the APDL language in ANSYS to write a three-dimensional model analysis program,based on the plastic damage constitutive of concrete make finite element analysis of gravity dam, and the constitutive curve of tensile damage was changed by changing the elastic modulus and tensile strength of concrete, the finite element analysis was carried out under different constitutive curves to analyze the sensitivity of the seismic response of the dam about concrete.
