Paper pulp molded product is a kind of paper packaging product made by various plant fibers.Molded pulp products have been widely used in various fields as advantages such as simple processing,easy to form,easy to degrade and easy to recycle.Currently,the national and industry standards for the design and production of pulp molding products are insufficient.There are great differences in the ratio of material and mechanical properties of the pulp molded products produced by different manufacturers.In this paper,the properties of molded pulp with different materials were studied.The study can provide the basis for the design and selection of pulp molding products,and the ratio of fiber in the process of pulp molding products.Firstly,the tensile tests were carried on the wood pulp,bamboo pulp,bagasse pulp,corrugated paper,white pulp,black pulp,recycled newspaper pulp,recycled corrugated paper pulp materials,and the tensile stress-strain curves of different fiber materials were obtained.Furthermore,the stress-strain curve of the materials were analyzed,and the elastic modulus of different fiber materials is obtained.As a kind of thin-walled material,the transverse deformation of paper pulp molded is small.Therefore,the digital image correlation method was used to analysis the Poisson's ratio of the pulp molded materials made of different fibers.Secondly,scanning electron microscope(SEM)was used to analyze the fiber structure characteristics of wood pulp,bamboo pulp,bagasse pulp,corrugated base paper,white pulp,black pulp,recycled newspaper pulp and recycled corrugated paper pulp.The results reveal the effect of fiber properties on the mechanical properties of molded pulp.Thirdly,in order to obtain the load-displacement curve of pulp molded products,the static compression test was carried.The relationship between the load and the deformation of the product is studied.The ANSYS software were used to analysis the static compression properties of wood pulp,bamboo pulp,bagasse pulp,black pulp,recycled newspaper pulp,recycled corrugated paper pulp.The simulation models of a paper pulp model with different materials were established by ANSYS software.Lastly,the ANSYS/LS-DYNA DTM module was used to simulate the special structure of pulp molded with different edge size.The influence of the edge size on the cushioning performance of pulp mold was studied.The simulation model of the pulp molded product with the best cushioning performance was established,and the influence of the material on the cushioning properties of the molded pulp was studied.
