In recent years,with the rapid development of advanced manufacturing technology and robot technology,the size,precision and quality requirements of aerospace,microelectronics,smart home and other industries are also getting higher and higher demand.Therefore,to ensure product quality precision assembly is essential of the precision products processing.The precise assembly of peg and hole parts is the most typical and the most extensive working mode in allprecision assembly operations.In order to enhance production efficiency,shorten assembling period and meet the need of modern volume production,domestic and overseas companies are generalizing the use of automatic assembly system comprised of assembly robots.The assembly direction is also developing from manual,rigidity to automation and flexibility.A certain type of product needs to adopt the way of horizontal assembly to enhance efficiency on the premise of quality assurance owing to technical requirements.Horizontal assembly is a big technical problem at home because of numerous disturbance in the assembly process and less relevant research.This research conducted a scaled experiment and analyzed the influence of position,orientation and velocity on the assembly effect,providing theoretical basis and data support for the smooth progress of horizontal assembly of peg and hole.In this paper,the main research contents are summarized as the following several parts:Firstly,this paper has analyzed and summarized the development status of shaft hole assembly at home and abroad.According to the research status of horizontal assembly of shaft hole,the content of this paper is determined and provided a new assembly method that with flexible cablehoisting the horizontal assembly system as the main body.Secondly,the dynamic analysis of the shaft hole assembly process that with bevel edge is carried out and deduced the expression of assembly force in each assembly stage of shaft and hole.Pointed out the main factors that influence the assembly force.It provides theoretical basis for the design of compliant devices.At the same time,we also makes a deep research on the phenomenon of jam and wedge in the process of shaft hole assembly,and puts forward some measures to avoid or eliminate the jam and wedge phenomenon.Thirdly,the assembly system,measurement system and control system are designed according to the process requirements and technical requirements of shaft hole assembly.The model arebuild with Solidworks and a test prototypehas been build.Under the existing experimental conditions,the measurement scheme is designed to accomplish the measurement task.The selection and working principle of the sensor,transmitter,synchronous data acquisition card,servo motor and host computer are analyzed in detail.Finally,complete the experimental testing.The effect of assembly process parameters,such as position,pose and feed rate,on the assembly effect is tested.It is concluded that the position is the most factor in the assembly process.Due to its own adjustable range,the attitude adjustment is not very obvious to the lifting force and torque and the assembly speed should be 5mm/s here.
