This paper analyzes the important river flowing through the Weifang-Binhai Economic and Development Area into the sea and the relationship between the sea tide of Laizhou Bay and flood discharge of river course. Meanwhile, it also does a research about the city's flood control and drainage planning.Firstly, analyzing the river hydrology of the Weifang-Binhai Economic and Development Area and the sea tide of Laizhou Bay. Through the relevant flood design calculation of the White river, Mi river, Yu river, each tributary and the analysis of the Laizhou bay tidal level, the paper clarifies the main design parameters and uses the formula to take a detailed calculation of the specific amount of water, which provide the basis for the determination of the water level of flood control and drainage planning. Then, studying the flood control and drainage planning of the Weifang-Binhai Economic and Development Area. Combined with the city's river layout and the new "two horizontal and six vertical" water system, the paper carries out a general overview for the main problems that existed in the early water conservancy construction project in the Weifang-Binhai Economic and Development Area and calculates the river flood control parameters in detail. And combined with the flood situation, the paper analyzes the current situation and reasons of drainage. On the basis of overall urban planning, the solutions of flood prevention and drainage are put forward.Urban planning and construction is closely related to flood control and drainage. The study has a good reference on the northern coast of Weifang's sustainable development and construction.
