With the global warming and rapid urbanization, the issue of urban inland inundation appears more and more frequently, threatening the safety and operation of city and bringing casualties and social loss. Therefore, to have a good planning of urban flood control and drainage, and carry out risk assessment of water-logging caused by rainstorm are quite important. In Feb, 2014, the partial revised edition of ?Code for design of outdoor wastewater engineering‘(Edition: 2014) was released by Department of housing construction: increasing the design return period of rainfall pipelines, proposing that when catchment area beyond 2 square kilometers, should consider the irregular distributive characters of rainwater and flux process of pipe network, use the mathematical model to calculate the design discharge of rainwater. Under such background, this study takes the water basin of Futian River, Shenzhen as research subject, along with situation analysis of relatively serious water-logging occurred in recent years. This study systematically analyses the cause of inland inundation for water basin of Futian River, uses software of model construction to assess the risk of inland inundation for this water basin, and proposes effective measures. Common software can only simulate the pipe network instead of urban inland inundation, and hard to be used for assessing inland inundation in the planning of drainage and water-logging prevention. This study conducts analysis and comparison of common-used models which used for inland inundation simulation, selects DHI MIKE model, using the sub-module of this model – MIKE URBAN and MIKE 21, builds the simulation of urban one-dimensional drains network and surface two-dimensional water overflow model respectively, and couple using MIKE FLOOD, thus can well assess the capacity of drains network system for Futian River water basin and the risk of urban inland inundation. According to the assessment results above, this study also proposes comprehensive utilization planning of rainwater, rainwater pipe network and rainwater drainage facilities, as well as comprehensive measures of drainage and water-logging prevention. It also applies each planning scheme to planning model, deeply assesses the effect of introduction of planning measures by using model, and finally comes up with a feasible and systematical drainage projects...
