As the market urgent demonds for commercial vehicles with lightweight,energy saving and emission reduction,energy efficiency,heavy duty trucks are increasingly popular in the market.Engine cooling capacity has become the most urgent problem to be solved.The cooling capacity of engine cooling system directly affect the fuel economy,comfort,reliability and emission performance of the vehicle.Therefore,the host plant of heavy truck engine cooling system,further refinement of year by year.At the same time as the engine power is increasing continuously,and the engine compartment structure is more compact,engine cooling system capacity is more and more serious.For the company,timely formation of heavy truck engine cooling system for thermal balance matching technology research,for the future vehicle cooling system to enhance the ability will be of great advantage.The matching of the engine cooling system has been based on the theoretical calculation and empirical analysis method,but the effective air volume of the whole vehicle cooling system has been difficult to measure and calculate.An air and fluid distribution room of the heat balance of the engine cooling system has brought tremendous impact,especially the reflow phenomenon of cooling air flow changes brought directly reduce the efficiency of the cooling system,and the calculation in the traditional theory is not out of recognition,need with the help of three-dimensional CFD analysis method.In this paper,through the analysis of the classic theoretical calculation,preliminary selection according to the experimental data of the radiator and fan,cooling system matching calculation,determine the matching scheme of cooling system of DV100 vehicle preliminary;through the one-dimensional automotive cooling system software KULI,modeling reference thermal balance test data of similar models,simulation analysis was carried out on the tentative plan,get meet the basic scheme of one-dimensional system based on computation;then the engine compartment for three-dimensional modeling and CFD simulation analysis using STAR-CCM+ software.Combined with the simulation results,the main factors that affect the cooling system are obtained.According to the actual situation,design and select the best improvement plan,and completed the load Trailer thermal balance test.The experimental results show that the thermal balance test results(32°C)of the vehicle can not meet the requirements of design standard under the condition of maximum torque.In the maximum torque condition,the maximum allowable ambient temperature of the vehicle is 38.1 °C,which meets the design requirements.The test results are similar to the simulation results,which proves the accuracy of the simulation analysis and optimization.
