Low impact development(LID)is a kind of technical measures for the management and utilization of rainwater resources in recent years.From the national level,the State Council issued a document to construct city drains facilities,reduce the ecological environment impact caused by city development and construction,implement new urban development of low impact,making city construction based on a high standard,high starting point and new design.Therefore,LID began to play an important role in the process of urbanization.LID can reduce non-point source pollution from the rain runoff,protect the construction and its surrounding area from flood and drainage,increase the amount of available water,and improve the situation of water environment of the city.This paper expounds the concept,advantages and the situation of LID,focusing on LID in practical engineering applications,the purpose is to combine the LID with traditional construction measures and management,making LID not only stay in the design stage,but also implement it in engineering construction.This paper cites China's current technical regulations,studies the construction management on current construction sites and analyzes relevant cases.It focused on the implementation procedures,construction management system and relevant implementation measures of LID.It concludes that LID has a great effect on improving the quality of ecological environment,reducing urban water logging hazards,and decreasing water pollution,also,LID is feasible and operable in city construction projects because it can be applied with traditional constructions in reality.Finally summarizes the barriers of LID in domestic development and how to break up the limitations of green building by combining it with LID.
