Deuterium lamp is a common ultraviolet light source,and its continuous spectrum of the radiation ranges from 190 nm to 400 nm,which has excellent features of high intensity,cracking stability and long life.Tungsten halogen lamp is a common light source in the visible and near-infrared light radiation spectrum,which ranges from 360 nm to2000nm.Its output is stable and the spectral lines are smooth and sequential without dents or spike.The combination of deuterium lamp and halogen tungsten lamps,which is called the composite light source,can produce stable and continuous UV-Vis-NIR spectral bands.The composite light source can be used as a calibration light source or a reflecting light source in color measurement.It also can be used with mini fiber spectrometers and optical fibers,and its application involves many fields,such as scientific research,industrial production,military reconnaissance,chemical analysis and medical industry.For light sources,outputing stable and continuous spectrum is essential.The stability of the light sources depends on the stability of the voltage regulator circuit inninety percent.So it is of great theoretical and practical significance to design an excellent performance,high stability voltage-stabilizing circuit for an extreme stable deuterium-halogen light source.This paper introduced an extreme stable deuterium-halogen light source design,which includes optical system,electrical system and mechanical design.Optical system consists of deuterium lamp,halogen tungsten lamp,spectral filter,lens and standard optical fiber output port.We will get the target UV-Vis-NIR radiation spectrum produced by deuterium lamp and halogen tungsten lamp through selecting collimating lens.We can eliminate dark noise of UV-Vis-NIR through selecting proper spectral filter.We can receive coupling composite radiation spectrum generated by deuterium lamp and halogen tungsten lamp through selecting collector lens.Electrical system consists of power factor correction circuit,driving circuit of halogen tungsten lamp,driving circuit of deuterium lamp and auxiliary control circuit.The power factor correction circuit outputs 24 V DC voltage,which can be used to provide the voltage for the driving circuit of halogen tungsten lamp and deuterium lamp.Basing on the chip of UC3843 AN,the BUCK type circuit is designed;Basing on comparator LM2903 N,the external compensation circuit is designed;Basing on Schmidt triggers HEF4093 BP,the controlling circuit is designed;All of them make up of the driving circuit of halogen tungsten lamp.Preheat circuit;trigger circuit and constantcurrent circuit constitute the driving circuit of deuterium lamp.Basing on a constant-voltage BUCK circuit,the preheat circuit is designed;The trigger circuit is a constant voltage BOOST circuit;The constant current circuit is a constant-frequency voltage boosted circuit;All of them make up of the driving circuit of deuterium lamp.The auxiliary control circuit controls the working process.Switches are controlled by the chip of HEF4093 BP,so they can output the high level or low level.The LM393 controlled the charge and discharge time of capacities.Basing on size,material and symmetry of the machine,the performance price ratio of the mechanical structure is designed.The circuit design has been demonstrated by experiments,which has high power factor and stability,small ripple factor and harmonic.The light source outputs stable and continuous radiation spectrum ranging from 200 nm to 2000 nm.The tungsten halogen lamp has an adjustable voltage from 4.5V to 11.5V.The deuterium lamps have a trigger voltage with 500 V and an invariable current with 300 mA.The voltage and current drift is below the 0.01%/h.The voltage and current regulation is below 5x10-6.All of them meet the demands of a high stability deuterium-halogen light source design.
