Research On Landscape Planning Of Leisure Agricultural Garden With Elders’ Health Requirements

Nowadays, aging of population has gradually become an important social problem of China. The elder are eager to back to nature, but in current urban pension environment, their needs could not be satisfied. Meanwhile, as the largest agricultural country, China is rich in agricultural and natural landscape resources, which is favorable to develop leisure agricultural industry. Combining pension industries with leisure agriculture is not only a realistic way to improve the pension industry system with Chinese characteristics and to solve the problem of aging population, but also an effective method to adjust the industrial structure and develop new countryside construction with increasing farmers’ income in rural areas. In this article, several methods, such as literature, induction, investigation and empirical research, are used to explore the appropriate planning methods of leisure agricultural landscape park for the elders. The main contributions are concluded as follows.(1) Through deep investigation and research in surrounding areas of Changsha, we find some serious problems such as the lack of functional parts for health, the missing of consideration of human-oriented design, unclear border of functional space, unscientific design of ecosystem and the poor recognizable landscapes. Based on these problems, some corresponding solutions were provided.(2) Based on questionnaires in aspects of health habits, needs and wishes aspects from the urban elders, we get the point that the design of leisure agricultural park for the elder should strengthen the diversification of health landscape and focus on agriculture and construction of plants. Furthermore, the paper summarized the demand characteristics of the elders’ psychological, physiological and behavioral with appropriate planning countermeasures.(3) Based on the practical requirements of landscape ecology theory, environmental psychology, horticulture therapy, traditional Chinese health theory, the demand characteristics of the elders and rural economic development, the paper proposes a "Production-Living-Ecology-Life" theory as a guideline for landscape design of leisure agricultural park for elderly health.(4) The paper proposed that the planning of leisure agricultural park landscape for the elders’ health needs should follow four principles:people-oriented, adaptation to local conditions, natural ecology and overall coordination. According to the conception of "Production-Living-Ecology-Life" planning method, the park should be divided to agricultural production area, service experience area, sightseeing leisure area and health care area in overall plan. Then, some key points like terrains, roads, plants, water, accessorial buildings, and agricultural landscape should be described in detail planning. Besides, the paper also provided a list of common health caring plants for reference.(5). According to above methods, Landscapes of RuLian Leisure Agricultural Park was planned in Rucheng County, Hunan Province. With Proposed "Zen-tea health" theme park based on the characteristics, the whole structure of "two-axis", "three-zone", "multi-region", "multi-point" has been built by guidance of "Production-Living-Ecology-life" conception, which has played an important role in multi-functional benefitsThe planning of Leisure Agriculture Park landscape with elders’ health requirements should be built on full consideration of agricultural and natural resources. Besides, it aims to build better healthy environment for elder and is a new exploration of the mode for the integration of urban-rural economic development.
