As we know,the earliest human-build bridges is the pedestrian suspension bridge,which weaving by the vine planet,such as timbo,bamboo and evolving into the modern suspension bridge.Originally,the human-build pedestrian bridges are mainly used to cross the natural barriers,which are mostly located in rural,less pedestrian,lack of attention.With the development of modern three-dimensional transportation concept,all kinds of over-line pedestrian bridges,landscapes pedestrian suspension bridges are developing very fast,have had difficult to statistics.Since most of bridges will be set the sidewalk when they were built,the span of the separate building pedestrian bridges will not be too long,but depth-span ratio,width-span ratio,the ratio of dead load and live load of pedestrian bridges are less than the vehicular bridge's.So the pedestrian bridges are generally lightweight and flexible.The research content is as follows:(1)Introduces the basic features of suspension bridge,comfort evaluation methods and vibration control measures.(2)On the background of maintenance engineering of ShunChang suspension bridge,using MIDAS/Civil engineering finite element software to establish the reasonable three-dimensional model of ShunChang suspension bridge,used in the static and dynamic analysis of the bridge and comfort evaluation analysis and vibration control analysis.In order to have a thorough understanding of the features of pedestrian suspension bridge,selected some main Parameters influencing on the static and dynamic characteristics of structure are analyzed and compared,and obtained some conclusions with reference value.(3)To analyze pedestrian comfort of ShunChang suspension according to the British BS 5400 and the international organization for standardization ISO,through analysis and comparison obtained vibration response to satisfy situation of pedestrian comfort of ShunChang suspension bridge,by adding and adjusting the wind-resistant cable and TMD on ShunChang suspension bridge to recalculate vibration response of the dissatisfy load case.(4)Research shows:adjusting wind-resistant cable by staggered arrangement can improve the stiffness of structure,increase the stability of the structure and reduce the vibration response of the structure;setting TMD can significantly reduce vibration response of ShunChang suspension bridge.
