With the further development of the market demand,the functional requirements and the complexity is increasing.How to apply artificial intelligence technology to product design,improve product design intelligence,and become an important direction of the manufacturing industry.This paper mainly research intelligent design of mechanical products and build mechanical product intelligent design system through genetic algorithm,case based reasoning and combined with three-dimensional parametric modeling.Because the mechanical products are usually composed of parts and components according to a certain rule,with multi-level structure properties.First,this paper studies the division of mechanical product case knowledge and the construction method of multi level instance base.Then through genetic algorithm studies whole conceptual design of mechanical products.According to the level of mechanical product components in the all product scheme encoding and individual description,store the coding cases in the database.Through the genetic operation to generate the optimization design scheme.The components of the scheme are further designed by using the case based reasoning.Forming categories According to the functional properties and structural properties of parts and components of mechanical products.The grey-relational algorithm is used to realize the similarity search in the database.By using analytic AHP and Delphi method to determine the weight of each attribute.For the parts exzamples have been searched,can modify the structure size,and then put into the structural attribute case-base.In the end,parametric modeling of mechanical parts is carried out,Through the secondary development of UG software,realize the structure parameters extraction from database,complish the conection between UG and database.In this paper,the components of the CNC lathe are selected to describe the reasoning module and the parametric modeling module.Through the comprehensive application of genetic algorithm,case-based reasoning and 3D parametric modeling knowledge,With the aid of VC++6.0,Server SQL 2008 database and UG 3D software,Combined with the characteristics of CNC lathe,build the intelligent design system of CNC lathe,providing the theoretical support and technical support for the intelligent design of mechanical products.
