In recent years,there exists increasing attention by scholars about the geotechnical problems such as the drainage efficiency would significantly decrease during vacuum preloading in the process of the large area implementation of land reclamation project.The clogging mud formed during the process of vacuum preloading method will severely reduce the effect of drainage consolidation.Currently,there is no clear understanding about the formation mechanism of clogging mud.Therefore,a variety of technologies of clogging crushing have been proposed,but they are unable to play a fundamental role to slow down the formation of clogging mud.Therefore,the problem of clogging mud formed outside of the drainage board has become a major technical obstacle in the process of the drainage construction of vacuum preload.In this paper,the effects of different compositions of particle sizes and different vacuum degree to clogging mud were considered.The influence of macro and micro factors bring to the formation of the clogging sludge layer had been analyzed.The process of generating clogging mud had been explained on this basis,and a new control measure was put forward to prevent the formation of clogging mud.This paper mainly studies the formation mechanism of clogging mud.The formation factors of clogging mud have been studied by using the indoor model experiment of vacuum preloading.The influence of macroeconomic factors such as grain composition and the vacuum pressure values to the drainage amount and settlement of the vacuum preloading method have been considered.And the pore pressure,moisture content,density,void ratio,permeability and pore size distribution and other parameters at the measuring points of clogging mud have been analyzed.The formation mechanism and criteria of formation time of the clogging mud is clear.In this paper,a prediction model of drainage amount varying with time is built up and the dissipate equation vacuum potential energy in the horizontal direction is established.This paper proposed a prevention measure of formation clogging mud,that is intermittent venting vacuum combined with gas injection pressurized.The method can effectively delay the formation of clogging mud during the process of vacuum preloading and effectively improve the efficiency of drainage consolidation.
