Currently,the cities of China are going through socio-economic transformation and the stage of space reconstruction quickly.Under the condition of job selection and housing are gradually market,the jobs-housing space of residents undergoes great changes,there mainly reflects jobs-housing separation is increasingly grievous.The concentration of high-grade public service in old city and the periodic of new city's construction lead to asymmetry to jobs-housing space of residents,as a result,it increases the commuting distance and time of residents directly.Jobs-housing separation causes decline in quality of residents' life,air pollution,and traffic congestion.The mainly reason of traffic congestion is the highly concentration of travel time and space,yet traffic congestion could cause series of social and economic problems,which hinder the sustainable development of city and lowering its operating efficiency.Due to BRT is a medium volume travel mode,it could deal with the traffic congestion effectively,and it gradually becomes one of indispensable traffic modes in daily life.Taking Jinan as example,based on the jobs-housing separation index and commuting threshold value,this paper analyses the feature of jobs-housing balance and its influence factors along the area of BRT.The study found that there were three features: the first was that the jobs-housing balance level along the area of BRT was higher than the average of Jinan,but the BRT commuters had a lower-level jobs-housing balance;The second was that the area along the BRT in different urban space showed significant difference in jobs-housing balance level,that is,the jobs-housing balance level of downtown was higher than marginal zone's.However,as to administration balance,the jobs-housing balance level of downtown was lower than marginal zone's,because the administrative districts of marginal zone are bigger than downtown's.The third was that different social groups along the BRT probably had different jobs-housing balance level.With regard to residents and employees,it showed that the jobs-housing balance level of residents was higher than employee's.Additionally,this paper used the commuting threshold value and AHP to analyzing the individual and environmental attributes,which influences the jobs-housing balance level of the station area along the BRT,the study found that some individual attributes had a significantly influence on jobs-housing balance level,such as the survey respondent's gender,job position,the housing type and so on.As for the relationship between the comprehensive environment accessibility of the station area along the BRT and jobs-housing balance,it showed that the station area,which has low accessibility,had a low-level jobs-housing balance.But,the high accessibility station area might not have a high-level jobs-housing balance.Finally,basing on the features and its influence factors of jobs-housing balance along the BRT,this paper presented the optimization suggestions on jobs-housing balance,including function optimization,residential guidance,employment guidance,and traffic guidance.
