The Research Of Co-makerspace Design Based On Building Renovation

Recently public entrepreneurship and public innovation is advocated by Chinese government.The co-maker spaces,as the platform for innovation and entrepreneurship,have become flourished within cities,attracting more attention from the public.Due to its characteristics of high flexibility and adaptability,many co-maker spaces adopt the renovated buildings.Therefore the renovation design of co-maker spaces is worth of investigation for revival of urban districts.In this thesis,co-maker spaces are studied within the scope of existing building renovation.Through on-site investigation and literature review,the major characteristics,functional requirements and current renovation cases of co-maker spaces are summarized.This thesis explored the value of building renovation of the Co-maker Space,and also analyzed the methods and strategy of the Co-maker Space.On the basis of the introduction of modular transformation strategy,discussed the design and organization of Co-maker Space modular transformation unit,and how its group works to respond the changing pattern of space needs.Finally,based on the transformation method of module based on the previous discussion,the author at the school during the actual project design,make further research and discussion on the application of modular design in the renovation design of Co-maker Space.
