Research On Application Of BIM - Based Cost Management In Hospital Construction

With the rapid development of medical service,new projects,reconstructed and expansion projects of hospitals have been more and more in recent years.Hospital buildings have complex functions,and hold more professional systems and devices so that the investments of construction projects become higher relatively,and hospitals have to put forward higher requirements for construction management,especial cost management.Compared with medical and administrative works among hospital works,information work develops slowly,which leads to low integration level of process management of construction projects,information isolation,and difficulty in managing construction cost.Building Information Modeling(BIM)is an information technology platform which can design,build,operate and manage construction projects by creating and using digital model,and also is an information sharing platform for the relevant companies who work on construction projects in term of integration,systematization,intellectualization,digitization,model information correlation,and so on.To apply BIM technology to cost management of construction projects during the whole life cycle can efficiently increase working quality and efficiency.At the same time,the relevant companies,who work on construction projects,can cooperate efficiently,and remove difficulty in information communication.Finally,all the relevant companies can get full coordination and cooperation on construction cost management during all phases of whole life cycle,and promote development of hospital construction cost management during the whole life cycle in systematic,comprehensive,efficient and high quality way.This thesis studies how to introduce BIM technology to hospital construction cost management,perfect information building of hospital construction management,and improve level of hospital construction cost management.This thesis demonstrates features of both hospital buildings and hospital construction projects management,shows both the current status and existing problems of hospital construction cost management,and also strengthens both value and necessary of introduction of BIM technology in hospital construction cost management.Considering building hospital construction cost management based on BIM technology,it is important for hospital to set forth the aim of construction cost management and build hospital internal structure based on BIM technology,also it is necessary for relevant companies to work together based on BIM technology,and hospitals apply BIM technology to each stage of construction projects cost management.Finally,this thesis illustrates an application case of hospital construction project,and explains advantages of BIM technology in hospital construction project cost management.
