The Interpretation Of Space Poetics

Excellent university campuses are the carriers of academic belief,culture and particularity.Each university campus should have its own distinct particularity.The campus sights and buildings impress people directly.Thus distinct university campuses must show their own spirit of place.With the construction of large numbers of university campuses,they are built in formal architectural language.This makes the campuses lose their own features.This only satisfies the material and functional needs of campuses.This cannot satisfy people’s higher spiritual demands to university campuses.Therefore,the design of university campuses inclines to return to nature,transmit culture,and join in poetics.The construction of university campuses must face the topic of the construction of the spirit of poetic place.However,the research of the spirit of poetic place belongs to the field of Spatial Poetics.How to understand Spatial Poetics becomes the key point of the forming of the spirit of poetic place.In this essay,through analyzing Spatial Poetics,theoretical factors and types of poetics of the spirit of university campuses are generalized and construction strategy is proposed.This essay is divided into four parts and the main content is as follows.In the first part,the research background,the purpose and the signification,and the related research status are illustrated.The range of the study is limited.The main content is summarized,and the frame diagram of the study is presented.In the second part,through analyzing related theories,the origin and connotation of Spatial Poetics are demonstrated.The idea of spatial design is emerged.In the third part,through combining the theory of Spatial Poetics and Space Theory in university,the poetic swerving of university campus is put forward.The swerving of architectural language and the swerving of space explain the inner factors of the poetic swerving in university campus,and the features of space and language during swerving.The direction of poetic theory is clarified.And then three types of swerving are proposed.They are the tendency of naturalization,In the fourth part,the specific construction strategy of the spirit of poetic place in university campus is illustrated.Based on the understanding of Spatial Poetics in previous three chapters,in this chapter,the specific construction style and process of the spirit of poetic place in university campus is explored from four aspects,that is,the construction of poetic spirit,the construction of poetic place,the embodiment of poetic space and the construction of poetic atmosphere.
