As an architectural structure system, steel-wood composite structure has many advantages, such as low density, good anti-seismic property and convenient construction and so on. So it is widely applied in construction industry. But traditional steel-wood composite structure has many gnarl inside wood which will reduce the bending capacity of wood. Compared with the traditional wood, OSB board is more homogeneous. This paper presents a new type of T-section cold-formed steel-OSB board composite beam,which uses OSB board instead of traditional wood and connect "U" shaped cold-formed steel on the down surface of the composite beam by self-drilling screws. The experimental research and theoretical analysis on flexural properties have been done in this paper. The main contents are as follows:(1) Material tests for OSB board and steel plate are studied in this paper and it concludes their indicators of property which provide an important basis for experimental research and theoretical analysis of the composite beam.(2 ) The experimental research on flexural behavior of 3 composite beams is carried out by the parameters of whether the end of steel plate is reinforced and whether the OSB board is truncated. Through the comparison of failure process and failure form of each specimen, the load-displacement curve and the load-strain curve are obtained. According to the experimental result, it is found that this composite beam has good bending performance, and self-drilling screw connection can ensure cooperation work between OSB board and "U" shaped cold-formed steel.(3 ) Through applying node coupling and contact element between OSB board and cold-formed steel, this paper carry out the simulation and analysis to 3 specimens of composite beams with the finite element analysis software ANSYS respectively. Based on finite analysis, the major influence factor of bending capacity of composite beam is analyzed, including the thickness of OSB board and steel plate, the screws spacing between OSB board and steel plate.(4) According to the influence of interlayer slip,an efficient second-order algorithm using twosecond-order ordinary differential equations is established to calculate the interlayer slip and the deflection of composite beam subjected to symmetrical load in arbitrary positions.It can provide certain reference basis for the application of practical engineering of cold-formed steel-OSB board composite beam henceforward.
