Basalt fiber reinforced polymer(BFRP)has been recognized as a new type of high performance green composite material because of its high strength, good ductility, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, convenient construction and low cost.It has been paid much attention in civil engineering, and has been widely used in the reinforcement of concrete structures. Many scholars at home and abroad have focused on the study of concrete columns strengthened with BFRP.The research on the stability of BFRP reinforced concrete columns with different slenderness ratio is relatively small. Therefore,it is of great significance to study the influence of slenderness ratio on the mechanical properties of BFRP reinforced concrete columns subjected to axial compression. In this paper, the finite element software ABAQUS is used to simulate the reinforced concrete columns strengthened with BFRP.The component model is made of reinforced concrete columns with diameter of 150 mm and slenderness ratio(L/D)of 3,5,7,9 and 11,respectively.Then,0 layers,1 layers,2 layers,a layer of the 3 layer,a layer of the 4 layer and a plurality of layers of basalt fiber cloth are respectively pasted on the cylinder with the same slenderness ratio. The effect of BFRP on the bearing capacity of reinforced concrete columns with different slenderness ratios and different slenderness ratios is analyzed. The simulation results show that the ultimate bearing capacity and ductility of reinforced concrete columns strengthened with wrapped BFRP sheets are significantly improved, and the effect of structural reinforcement is achieved. The bearing capacity of reinforced concrete columns with the same slenderness ratio increases with the increase of the number of reinforcement layers, but increases with the increase of the number of reinforcementlayers. In addition, with the increase of slenderness ratio, the amplitude increases gradually. When the slenderness ratio(L/D)is the same, the stability coefficient of reinforced concrete columns strengthened with BFRP sheets is smaller than that of the unreinforced columns.According to the simulation data, the relationship between the stability factor and slenderness ratio of reinforced concrete columns with BFRP sheets is obtained. On this basis, the calculation formula of the stability bearing capacity is obtained, which provides a theoretical basis for strengthening the practical engineering.
