The watto hydropower project on the downstream of the Jinhe riverreach,is located in Naipa village in Karuo town of Changdu city about 2.5 km downstream of the river,and on the upstream of JINHE DAM about 5.0km,which is a mainly electricity medium-sized hydropower project.The normal level of reservoir is 3315.00 m,the dead water level of reservoir is3313.00 m,the check flood level(0.1%)of reservoiris 3317.14 m,the reservoir total capacity is0.1383×108m3,the total installed capacity is 50 MW that guaranteed the output of 8.44 MW,the average capacity is2.1015×108kW·h for many years.This paper introduced the design of Watto hydropower station,the main contents are as follows:(1)Used the Pearson type ? curve to carry out the appropriate line,the annual average runoff frequency curve of the Leiwuqi hydrological station was obtained,and the multi-year average flow rate of the Leiwuqi station was converted to the dam site by the hydrological analogy method.Used the Pearson type ? curve line method to obtain the peak flow frequency of the Changdu station,and the results of the design flood peak flow at different frequencies moved to the dam site section by the hydrological analogy method.(2)The rigid body limit equilibrium method was used to calculate the stability of the gravity dam's gate chamber dam section,which satisfied the stability requirement.(3)Stress analysis were carried out used the finite element software ANSYS.The stress at the dam heel was greater than the designed tensile strength of the concrete,but it was within the normal range compared to the completed project.Can take appropriate measures to avoid cracking of concrete,such as to set the tilt surface in the dam heel to eliminate stress concentration,to increase the concrete strength levelof the dam heel,to be installed steel,to set dam heel block and other measures to meet the design requirements.(4)In this paper,the reinforcement of the overflow dam was calculated.Took one of the most dangerous single width pier(all stresses it has supported including maintenance gate,hoist,the weight of the track and the pier weight)to calculate,the middle pier used the symmetrical reinforcement of eccentric compression and the side pier usedeccentric compression reinforcement.Finally,the hub layout,the profile map of the gravity dam's gate chamber dam section and the pier reinforcement mapwere drawn.
