Compared with embedded parts,bolt anchoring technique has many advantages such as simple construction,low cost,easy to use and so on.Over the past few decades,expansion anchors played an important role in building renovation,post-earthquake strengthening and other projects.The way of expansion anchors functioning mainly relies on the friction between the concrete and pipe and the construction technology can't be ignored.With the higher cost of adhesive anchors,both of two anchors are used in construction projects.In present time,the quality of anchors varies and anchors haven't developed into a relatively mature system.China is a vast country and has a large number of low-temperature regions in the northeast,northwest and other regions where many structures are always in low temperature and freeze-thaw cycles.It's inevitable to install and use anchors at low temperature.But now no special measures are taken in these areas and how the change of concrete properties at low temperature affects the anchorage performance is relatively less.The main purpose of this paper is to explore the impact of hypothermia on the anchor installation and service performance.Conclusions are as follows:(1)Under the action of tension,the failure mode of expansion anchors are all pull-out failure.And there are two types of failure mode of adhesive anchors: interface failure and anchor failure.Anchor failure is recommended to occur in design.(2)Compared with adhesive anchors,the bearing capacity of expansion anchors is lower but the displacement is smaller.(3)Compared with expansion anchors,adhesive anchors show high stability.(4)Under the same circumstances,the low temperature can improve the bearing capacity of adhesive anchors when anchor failure happens.(5)The bearing capacity of both two types of anchors is higher than the design value given by the manufacturer.There is no need to take special measures when installing adhesive anchors.
