The hypocycloid pumps,compared with other general pumps,have the characteristics of structure compacting,small volum,good performance of oil absorption and flow uniformity,besides,it can also transfer some special mediums and work in high speed,so cycloid pump had been widely used in industry.But it also has some disadvantages,for example,the structure of internal and external rotor are relatively complex,the demand of precision is higer,rotor manufacturing often need some special equipment to process,so the cost is higher,and the level of domestic production is relative lower,most of productions come from foreign,it can not meet the needs of the development of growing.Domestic scholars have put forward a novel cycloid pump,it is also called tricuspid cycloid pump,that structure and principle are simple in the process of research of cycloidal pump.However the sudy of the pump is still in the process of principle analysis and mathematical modeling,there are many problems need to be solved.Firstly,the paper analyze the forming principle of tricuspid cycloid,on this basis,established the mathematical model of three-shap cycloid.Through analyzing the natue of pump,to verify buiding pump base on three-shap cycloid is feasibility.Then according to the principle of movement and the volume change regularity of three point cycloid pump,using the method of approximation that replace cycloid gear with circular arc,with the help of software of “Matlab” and “Pro/E”,deducing the capacity calculation formula of tricuspid cycloid pump,the choosing of geometrical parameters scope are determined and analyzing the influence of parameters on pump performance and in terms of geometric displacement compares it with common cycloid pump,and base on the formula analyzing and calculating the changing rule of the cavity and transient flow.Secondlly,though analyzing the theoretical of movement and dynamic characteristics of pump,building the mechanical structure of cycloidal pump,base on structure theory,completed the 3D digital modeling of parts and assemble them as a whole,and then analyzing the performance.Finally,on the basis of principle of tricuspid cycloid forming,completing the model of stator cavity of pump,and studied the processing method of complex cavity surface.After analyzing and studying tricuspid cycloid pump,we know the pump have the following advantages: due to formatting the pump of diameter of dynamic circle that always come into contact with end of tricuspid cycloid,so using the same size of dynamic circle to envelope the tricuspid cycloid and diameter that make the pump have higher volume efficiency;under the same size,the tricuspid cycloid pump has bigger displacement;compare it with other common pumps,it has simple structure and seal easily etc.so the tricuspid cycloid pump has certain market value and application prospect.
