VANET is a solution that can make vehicle connect to the network and obtain a wide range of information in real-time,and is also one kind of the application of Internet of Things(IoT)in intelligent transportation.By installing an on-board communication unit on vehicles and deploying network base stations around the road,information can be securely and quickly exchanged between vehicles or between vehicles and network server.As a significant component of the future intelligent transportation system,VANET aims to achieve two main purposes.First,vehicles can acquire the surrounding traffic circumstances and vehicle conditions in real time through VANET to reduce traffic accidents and improve traffic efficiency.Second,vehicles can access to the internet when traveling along the road.Therefore,VANET can provide news,social interaction,entertainment and other network services for drivers and improve the driving experience.VANET is a kind of mobile ad hoc network,so it will face a variety of network threats in communication process.These threats can destroy VANET's availability by disrupting network communication or deceive the vehicle user by forging or tampering information.Because of the special nature of the network environment,these threats in VANET are likely to affect the normal driving of vehicles or even lead to serious traffic accidents.Besides,VANET has a large-scale network structure and open wireless channel,the identity of the vehicle user,location and other privacy information is exposed to the network all the time.If private information cannot be protected,the communication in the VANET will cause the leak of user's privacy.Then it may affect the system security and bring a lot of trouble to VANET's users.Therefore,this thesis focuses on the network security problem and studies the anonymous authentication scheme and secure protocol in VANET.The main research contents are as follows.1.This thesis introduces the development and application prospect of VANET,and summarizes the system framework and research methods of VANET security research.Besides,the research works on the privacy protection and security of VANET is investigated.We analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of each work and summarized the problems that have not been solved.2.This thesis proposed an efficient conditional privacy preserve and secure authentication scheme.The scheme uses pseudonym-based signatures for identity authentication,and takes advantage of the method of batch verification to improve the communication and computation efficiency.Then the security analysis of the scheme is carried out.The results show that the scheme can resist different kinds of attacks and satisfy the secure requirements of VANET.Finally,we evaluate the performance of the scheme in terms of the computational cost and the communication overhead.The results indicate that our scheme is more suitable for the communication service in VANET than other similar schemes.3.From the perspective of vehicle's travel route,this paper proposed a new privacy-preserve scheme for vehicle's location based on the theory of K anonymity,virtual location and path confusion.When vehicles use the location-based service(LBS),location information as one component of the LBS request will be sent to the network server.When VANET is faced with potential network attackers and malicious location servers,it is not enough to protect user's location information from being leaked only by changing the vehicle's pseudonym.In this thesis,we introduce the concept of virtual position and use path confusion achieved through the location of the surrounding vehicles to protect the vehicle's location privacy.Moreover,we design the traffic simulation experiment and analyze the performance of the scheme.The results show that this scheme has obvious performance advantages over other types of privacy protection scheme for vehicle location.
