In contemporary society,with the number of vehicles growing day by day,traffic congestion,parking difficulties,traffic accidents and other traffic-related problem occurs frequently around us.Vehicular ad-hoc network(VANET)as a special kind of mobile ad-hoc network plays an important application form in the field of intelligent transportation,aming at improving the efficiency and security of traffic road driving.It can effectively prevent traffic congestion,improve traffic driving environment and enhance traffic safety,which has urgent practical application needs,wide application prospects and has a great significance to the improvement of the people's livelihood.In the special communication environment of VANET,due to the large scale and mobility of vehicle nodes and the existence of malicious attackers,the communication between vehicle and vehicle or other road nodes faces a great challenge.Firstly,the speed of the vehicle is faster,and the communication between vehicles and the nodes must be completed in a very short period of time.Secondly,malicious attackers may attack the communication message and temper with the content,and even track the vehicle nodes for vehicle privacy information.Therefore,this thesis focus on communication efficiency and security issues,and deeply studies the efficient and secure authentication scheme in VANET.And the specific work of this paper is as follows:1.This thesis introduces the development situation and application prospects of VANET,and summarizes the message authentication scheme based on different mechanism.We analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of different types of schemes,and summarized the differences between the efficiency and the security for them.2.This thesis proposed an efficient and secure identity-based authentication scheme in VANET.The scheme uses anonymous authentication to achieve privacy protection for vehicle,and takes advantage of batch verification to improve the efficiency in the process of message authentication.Then we carry out a strict analysis on security problem of the scheme,which proves that the scheme meets the security requirements in VANET.Finally,we conduct analogue experimentations on the efficiency of the scheme.The results show that the scheme has obvious advantages compared with the existing identity-based authentication schemes in VANET.3.Aiming at solving the key escrow problem,this thesis proposed a certificateless authentication scheme in VANET without pairing.The public and private keys of the vehicle are generated by the vehicle itself with the key generation center in our scheme,so it solves the key escrow problem exsting in the traditional identity-based authentication scheme.In addition,the scheme does not use bilinear mapping in the process of message authentication,which improves the efficiency of the authentication.Finally,we conduct analogue experimentations and analyses in view of security and efficiency issues.
