With the development of industry and agriculture, the acceleration of urbanization and the increase of urban population in China, the problem of water resources in our country is more and more serious. On the one hand, the lack of urban water resources, groundwater levels continue to decline, water resources can be used to supplement the lack of recycling capacity,on the other hand, urban runoff caused by stormwater runoff,non-point source pollution and other issues. In order to solve these problems, the relevant departments and practitioners in the field have been exploring and practicing the theory of "ecological civilization","sponge city" and "elastic city".At present,China has built a number of rainwater collection and utilization project, and at the end of 2014 issued by the Ministry of housing and urban construction "sponge city construction technology guide-low impact development of rainwater system(Trial)",achieved success. Our country on the basis of engineering technology has been basically mature, but as city residents often contact facilities, not only from the function perspective,we should consider the landscape, make it into the city environment and people’s daily life,so that you can get the material and spirit two aspects realize the whole city life quality improvement.Based on this background first to water resources important to the development of the city, the city water resources shortage, drought and flood prone city problems, and problems in the construction of the city as the research background, purpose and significance of this article.According to the domestic and foreign development situation of rainwater utilization summarizes the development process of development, specifically the use of a relatively complete national and foreign achievements to collect rainwater, grasp the developmentprogress and problems in China collected rainwater utilization should be determined, and the direction of development of the integration of landscape environment. Then, the definition of rainwater collection and utilization, the process of its development and the process of the development of the design change caused by the change of demand.Combined with the macroscopic theory of sponge City, green infrastructure and elastic City, this paper provides the basic theoretical framework for rainwater harvesting and landscape design.Analysis of rainwater collection and utilization of landscape benefits,to further clarify the necessity of its development. On the basis of this theory, the rainwater harvesting and landscape design is used to analyze the landscape.Taking the design principles, influencing factors and landscape features of the design as the breakthrough point, this paper points out the landscape design matters needing attention in the ideological level. Will focus on the collection and utilization of rainwater landscape system division of space design, from the four aspects of city road space, city park space, city living space, city commercial space and related facilities the focus characteristics of the combination of landscape ecological needs to design not only meet the functional needs and utilization of rainwater with space, coordination, integration, city residents symbiotic modern city landscape.Through the domestic and foreign related space outstanding case to explain the concrete process of the embodiment of the design, strengthen the theoretical level of practice.According to the research results, summarized that city rainwater landscape should be coordinate space multi level subsystem main system under the overall coordination, based on function and coordination, pay more attention to city residents, the fusion, enhance landscape effect, improve the quality of life of residents, formed in line with the strategy of modern landscape design rain the city needs.
