Deqing is located in the western mountainous area,distribution overhead line lightning trip caused by power outages are more prominent.In recent years,the continuous development of social economy,"home appliances to the countryside" policy makes people’s life level has been significantly improved,with the popularity of a variety of household appliances,people’s life is inseparable from the power and quality of electric energy of the proposed requirements of increasingly high.Erected in distribution line in the village at the end of the alley,a switch,a transformer as the basic unit of power system,the safe and stable operation of a direct impact on the user’s power quality.On overhead distribution lines installed surge arresters to protect electrical equipment from lightning damage is an effective method,but because of the limitation of the arrester itself,itself is damaged cause line outage accidents occur from time to time,a serious threat to the safe and reliable operation of the distribution network.In this paper,the fault data of 10 k V voltage class arrester in Deqing area from 2013 to 2015 are selected as samples,and the fault types and fault characteristics of the arrester are statistically.First from the distribution network with arrester structure composition,working principle,failure mechanism and analysis of lightning arrester malfunction reasons;then from the distribution network with lightning arrester current tolerance,sealing performance,anti pollution flashover performance on the operating performance of the arrester are analyzed.Finally,lightning space-time in the area distribution of various types of fault to analysis the reasons.Secondly,according to the Deqing area lightning flash distribution calculated lightning current amplitude probability distribution,establish 10 k V arrester life assessment model,then according to lightning arrester installation point cloud to ground flash density different for lightning arrester of life assessment,form a strong basis for the grass-roots staff in their daily work the arrester operation maintenance.Finally,according to Deqing area 10 k V arrester in daily operation in the process of defect type,fault reason,operating environment,combined with life of arrester assessment results,strong checks on the whole life cycle of the arrester is added from the selection of arrester,factory test,transportation,installation,operation and maintenance of and proposed corresponding strategies to reduce Deqing area 10 k V arrester failure rate.
