Soft magnetic composite material(SMC material)has undergone a significant development and has been in a range of new applications in the past decade.Compared with silicon steel,SMC material has many merits,magnetic and thermal isotropy,less eddy current losses,direct compression molding and so on.But the hysteresis loss is great obviously.So it is very necessary to study its loss characteristic which is distinct with the silicon steel for the purpose of commercial application.This project is supported by the National Natural Science Fund – ?study on thrust ripple and material core loss character of TPMLM made of soft magnetic composite materials?.This thesis makes deeply research about magnetic properties of SMC material and the core loss characteristics of SMC permanent magnet synchronous motor by combining theories and experimental results.In this paper,the magnetization curve properties and the core loss at different frequencies of SMC are measured by BROCKHAUS silicon steel measuring device.The comparative analysis of the magnetic properties of SMC material and DW470 show the advantages and disadvantages of SMC material,which provide a reference for the design of SMC material motor.Secondly,the DW470 silicon steel and the SMC material are selected as the stator core,FEM(finite element method)is used to compare no-load magnetic field distribution and gas gap magnetic flux density of two motors,and the influence of low magnetic permeability of SMC material is analyzed.Then,through the load test,the efficiency of two motors under different frequencies is obtained.The coefficients of hysteresis loss,eddy current loss and additional loss in core losses calculation model are determined by the loss experiments of different frequencies.Based on the finite element analysis of magnetic field in the stator core,considering the influence of alternating and rotating magnetic field,the hysteresis loss,eddy current loss and total core loss of two motors are analyzed and compared,and the excellent properties of SMC material under high frequency condition are verified.
