Along with the social development,new products and new technology are emerging in endlessly,and as a representative the 3D scanning technology and 3D printing technology constantly affect the development of traditional industries.In this paper,the 3D scanning technology and 3D printing technology are applied to each stage of design,trial production and production of the steering knuckle.The three-dimensional model of the steering knuckle obtained by 3D scanner is used to optimize directly,and the model of the steering knuckle after optimization can be printed out directly by 3D printers,that can shorten the development cycle of the samples and reduce the development cost of the samples.Using printed samples instead of traditional wood model for steering knuckle sand mold production can improve the casting precision of the steering knuckle,reduce the late processing,save material,reduce the manpower cost.Analyzing the error between the steering knuckle 3D model obtained by scanning and the steering knuckle original 3D model,can modify the design size of the steering knuckle reasonably and keep the right size for the mechanical processing.At the same time,the 3D printing technology in combination with the steering knuckle wax membrane,metal mold and the mould is used for mass production of the steering knuckle,that can save time and cost.First of all,this paper introduces the principle of 3D reconstruction of binocular camera scanner.Staring from the imaging model of camera,the paper introduces the perspective projection model,linear imaging model,camera calibration,binocular stereo vision model,and the problems such as a correction of parameter optimization,the distortion model,the left and right camera relationship matrix are given and image matching are introduced simply.Secondly,to introduce the 3D reconstruction process of steering knuckle and error analysis.Through experimental analysis,grating color and the size of the view are how to affect the quality of the steering knuckle scanning molding.To optimize the design of the mechanical parts of the 3D scanner,to design grating launchers and alignment device and bench of camera projection cross the center line,to ensure the stability of scanner in use process and operating convenience.On the basis of experiments and optimization,scan steering knuckle,and get the steering knuckle three-dimensional model,then analyze the error in scanning process and occurring in the process of data processing.Again,to introduce the rapid prototyping parts printing of the steering knuckle and error analysis?Introduce the application of 3D printing technology in the research and development,manufacture and production of steering knuckle.Considering different print temperature,difference of the photosensitive resin rapid prototyping parts of the steering knuckle is very big.Exploring the print temperature is how to affect mechanical properties and surface quality of rapid prototyping parts by the experiment,then design the 3D printing temperature control system.Print steering knuckle rapid prototyping parts for optimization analysis and steering knuckle sand mold production.Using the scanner to scan steering knuckle samples is to analyze the scan error and check the accuracy of prototype parts.Finally,the sand mold casting,casting size and quality inspection of steering knuckle are introduced.Use the rapid prototyping parts of steering knuckle instead of traditional wooden steering knuckle sand mould to cast steering knuckle.Analyze the factors that may affect the casting precision in casting process of the steering knuckle,and detect dimension error of steering knuckle castings.Analyze the common surface of the castings,and detect steering knuckle casting defects,measure the roughness of the steering knuckle castings.
