Ultraviolet curing technology is a kind of green technology used in the printing industry,which is a technology that using the ultraviolet rays produced by ultraviolet lamp to radiate the ultraviolet curing materials and make them curing transiently.There are many advantages of ultraviolet curing technology compared with the conventional thermal curing technology,such as transient curing,strong persistence,efficient and environmental-friendly,so it has been widely used and developed rapidly.In the domestic,there are more researches on the gas lamp electronic ballast used in lighting industry than that used in ultraviolet curing printing industry at present.So a study on a high-power,stable,efficient and intelligent electronic ballasts applied to ultraviolet curing has very important significance.Therefore,this paper will research and design a 3kW ultraviolet lamp electronic ballast used in ultraviolet curing printing industry.Firstly,the ultraviolet rays and ultraviolet lamps will be introduced in this paper,and the principles of the gas discharge and the volt-ampere characteristics for start-up process of gas lamp will be analyzed in detail.According to the characteristics of the gas lamp,the paper analyzes the basic functions of electronic ballasts.The common topologies of electronic ballasts will be introduced,and the advantages and disadvantages of different topological structures will be analyzed.Based on the analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of the analog electronic ballasts and digital electronic ballasts,a topology of "Interleaved Buck + Full-bridge" will be proposed,and it will use the way of "MCU + analog chips" to implement the "inner ring simulation" and "outer ring digital" control scheme.The function of UC3856 is going to be introduced in detail,so as the system design scheme realized by adopting STM32 and UC3856.Secondly,the circuit of interleaved Buck with single inductor will be introduced,and the main circuit of electronic ballast and control system's hardware will be designed.This paper builds the small signal models of interleaved Buck with single inductor under the Continuous Conduction Mode(CCM)and Discontinuous Conduction Mode(DCM).Then,according to the control scheme,the constant current controller under constant current preheat stage and the constant power controller under steady constant power stage are going to be designed.Finally,by adopting the idea of modular programming,the software design is presented.Through the simulation of the circuit and a 3kW prototype of UV lamp electronic ballast,the results prove the correctness of the proposed analysis.
