The development of urban rail transit has advanced at a breathless pace,hastened the birth of a large number of construction and utilization of vehicle bases.The vehicle base is the place where the subway is parked and maintained.Because of the uniqueness and advanced nature of the vehicle base of cover development,its design needs targeted fire design which is called performance-based fire design and can not use the current specification directly."Performancebased design" is a kind of work method based on the analysis and evaluation of comprehensive safety performance which takes some safety target as its performance index.The performance-based fire design started earlier in western developed countries,these countries enacted norms in 1980 s,such as Britain,the United States and New Zealand,they have gradually formed a relatively perfect performance design method in recent years.But in our country,it has been listed as the focus of the research and design from 1995.Despite the late start,with the needs of the market,the introduction of well-known foreign companies,the performance-based fire design in China will develop rapidly,the development prospects is bright.This article adopts performance-based fire design aimed at Fuzhou Metro Line 1 vehicle integrated base.Put forward the overall goals according to the actual characteristics of the building and and performance indicators of performance design,set up different fire scene,simulate the personnel evacuation,orderliness of smoke spread,fire danger time and the fire resistance time of structure through LEGION,FDS,ABAQUS and other software.According to the simulation results,the vehicle integrated base can meet the fire safety requirements after take some strengthen measures,the main conclusions and suggestions are as follows: 1)when the fire occurred,people in the vehicle integrated base can be evacuated in safe place before danger comes,it is suggested that the smoke exhaust equipment should be Investigated and repaired to ensure they can start normally in the event of fire;2)at the stage of construction,the fire resistance time of the pimary members of structure,such as some beams and columns are fail to meet the requirements,it is recommended to use fire board or fire mortar for protection.The research results of this paper can provide reference for the performance-based fire protection design of similar buildings...
