Valve is a kind of controlling mechanism,it's necessary in pipe system and it's important to national economy. The quality requirements and the quantity demands of valve grow higher with the development of market economy, especially the nuclear grade valve. In order to make more profits the valve factories have to develop parametric systems and use CAE software to do finite element analysis before designing a new product so that they not only can reduce working time but also can know more information about the new product which is also very important. In this essay, through the analysis of the characteristics of the geometric model of the series valves, the models of products can be established using the method of parametric modeling.Valve parametric modeling system uses Solidworks as modeling software to establish simplified models and uses Visual basic 6.0 to call Solidworks API to realize parametric modeling of series valves. In strength analysis of valves, firstly, the calculation method of valve strength is discussed. Then,ANSYS Workbench is used as analysis tool, the character of materials is discussed and the material library is established; In the grid division part, the grid average length of side setting, local grid size control mesh division method are discussed in order to seek a reasonable method;in the modal analysis, the numerical value of the first three modes is analyzed, and the influence of pre-stress on the natural frequency is discussed;the anti-seismic analysis is carried out by using equivalent static method. At last stress linearization is done at the essential parts of valves and the bolt strength is evaluated.
