After computer technology appearing, the CAD technology from nonexistence topass into existence, has undergone rapid development process. Parametric designtechnology, for its fast and efficient features, has been increasingly applied to the processof design and production. Aimed at specific water area Baiyangdian, this project haddesigned special-aquatic plants harvest ship, its important part——cutting device wasimplemented with parametric modeling and finite element analysis. Using traditionalmethods of design to design, its R&D cycle is long, product performance is often defeatsits own purpose. This article, combined with parametric design technology, secondarydevelopment technology, finite element analysis technology, etc., researched cuttingdevice, provided the basis for achieving its standardization and serialization. This article investigated the type and current situation in the domestic and foreign ofaquatic plants harvest ship, analyzed in depth about operating environment of aquaticplants harvest ship, based on the design requirements, determined the key performanceparameters and size parameters of the aquatic plants harvested ship, preliminarily cleardthe construction of entire work system, then obtained the parameter value of the cuttingdevice. The article used Pro/E three dimensional software, combined with the secondarydevelopment technology, utilized Pro/TOOLKIT application to programme in theVS2008development environment, studied deeply on structuring parametric modelingplatform of cutting device. Meanwhile, by dint of professional analytical softwareANSYS to carry on finite element analysis for main part of the cutting device, andoptimize. The article made a preliminary selection for cutting device, and determined therelevant parameters though design calculations. Based on the characteristics of thevarious parts, identified independent parameters and dependent parameters, and therelational expression of independent parameters and dependent parameters. Establishedthe three dimensional model of parts in the Pro/E software, set the parameters andrelations, as the drive models of parameterized modeling, by using Pro/TOOLKITsecondary development tool, came with Pro/E, extend the functionality of the Pro/Esystem, which included adding menus bar menu and creating the dialog box. Developersthough writing programme to implement assignment and invocation of the parameters, aswell as update the drive model, which regenerated as a new part model, assemble partsautomatically by utilizing programme control method. We can trade on CAD modules in the Pro/E to test whether the cutting device interfere between parts, ensure that thestructure is rationality. In general, after design of product completing, its main components should beanalyzed and checked. Traditional methods are computationally intensive, inefficiencyand its calculation accuracy is not high. The article recurred to finite element analysissoftware ANSYS to check intensity of guard beam in the cutting device, obtained thestress and aberration nephogram and values, and based on the results of analysis andcalculations, optimized the parameters and structure. The results optimized is analysedfor static analysis to verify whether the optimized results is correct.Parametric modeling platform of cutting device simplified the design process, shortened design cycles, improved design efficiency and degree of standardization andserialization; finite element analysis liberated designers from complicated calculations, utilized powerful computing capabilities of computer to analyze and optimize parts, saved time as well as ensured the rationality and economy of design. It providedexperiences for parametric design of other products.
