With the development of economic globalization,foreign trade between countries is increasing day by day.Ship is one of the main transportation modes in international trade.It has the characteristics of long distance and large capacity transportation.While shipping plays a role in the world economy,it also brings about energy consumption problems and environmental problems.Therefore,It is necessary to start energy conservation and emission reduction research of ship.Thermoelectric generation technology has a simple structure,high reliability,no moving parts and other advantages in thermoelectric conversion technology.It has great significance to recovery of waste heat from low-grade heat source.In this paper,in view of the exhaust heat of diesel engine,based on the principle of thermoelectric generation and oscillating heat pipe technology,the waste heat utilization is studied.The main work is summarized as follows:(1)A oscillating heat pipe type thermoelectric power generation system is designed according to the exhaust parameters of WP2.1D18E2 diesel engine;(2)Combined with the designed system,establish the theoretical model of thermoelectric power generation system,the relationship is calculated between thermoelectric output parameter and diesel engine exhaust parameters,heat sink temperature.(3)Build the experimental platform,take experimental study on the influence of diesel engine operating load and cold source temperature on output power and thermoelectric conversion efficiency of thermoelectric power generation system,and compared with theoretical calculation.The study results show that:(1)With the increase of exhaust flow rate and exhaust temperature,the output power and thermoelectric efficiency of the thermoelectric generation are significantly improved;(2)With the increase of the heat sink temperature,the power generation performance of the thermoelectric generation system decreases gradually,the output power of the system is reduced by 4.27%on average with each additional 5?.(3)Compared with the heat transfer of copper tubes,the heat transfer of oscillating heat pipes can greatly improve the generation performance of thermoelectric generation systems.(4)The diesel engine operating load changes from OkW to 15kW,the maximum output power of the system is increased by 92%and the thermoelectric efficiency is increased by 39%with each additional 3kW.With the increase of diesel engine operating load,the exhaust gas temperature increases,and the working performance of thermoelectric material and pulsating heat pipe increases with the increase of exhaust temperature.(5)For the thermoelectric power generation based on oscillating heat pipe in this paper,the maximum output power is 49.86W and the thermoelectric conversion efficiency is 5.62%when the heat sink temperature is 20?.
