Investigation And Research On The Boundary Space Of Integrated Park In The Central Area Of Hohhot

Based on the latest research results of border space at home and abroad,this paper selected Mantuhai Park and Qingcheng Park of Hohhot,which is representative of Inner Mongolia capital,based on public open space theory,marginal effect,behavioral psychology and Maslow’s hierarchy of needs.Qingcheng Park and Manduhai Park as selected research objects,using the field research and the questionnaire survey method to collect the data.From surrounding circumstances of the park,such as the border shape,the usage of border space,and the connection with others land of the transition space to explore the theory of park surrounding area change and fusion,which embody humanistic care.The main findings obtained through the survey:(1)The most popular place is the Manduhai Park with more open borders,which directly connected with the city and the edge effect plays a significant role.Due to the Qingcheng Park have specific entrances.Therefore,the boundaries of the park have less connection and transition with the city than the Manduhai Park.Hence,the usage of border space is inferior to the Manduhai Park.(2)Due to the increasing of people activity in park boundary’s space,especially in the entrance hall of the park.People are more desired in the wide sense of the integrated park.Based on the study,the overall evaluation of the boundary space of the Manduhai Park is of course higher than the Qingcheng Park.Meanwhile,the spatial accessibility of the park boundary,the functional diversity of the place,the plant level and the richness of the color,and the influence of the number of resting facilities on the overall boundary function.(3)In summary,the study gives two characteristics of the increasing usage of the edge area of the urban park in Hohhot City and the increasing of the space usage in the border space.The poor accessibility of the park boundary area and the poor integration with the surrounding land.The paper puts forward some suggestions on the urban center of Hohhot.The seven principles of the future construction of the boundary space of the park and the improvement of the accessibility of the park boundary area,and the emphasis on the six kinds of development proposals on the edge space display.
